Desk Tray Organiser — Order, Belonging, Memory.
Everyday objects, a keyring, a phone, a card holder, move constantly through our lives, never fixed, always shifting between use and pause. They accompany us through our daily rhythms, yet rarely have a place of their own.
The Desk Tray Organiser offers such a place, a quiet point of return. It gathers personal belongings within a defined space, creating a sense of order and calm amidst daily motion. Beyond its practicality, the object reflects on our relationship with the things we touch most, the small extensions of ourselves that hold memory, identity, and use.
Crafted from 3mm powder-coated aluminium, the piece balances strength and refinement, its surface evoking resilience and permanence. Two wooden containers are integrated within the form, introducing warmth and tactility, a dialogue between industrial precision and natural materiality.
In this synthesis of function and emotion, the organiser becomes more than a tool: it becomes a gesture of care, a designed space where the everyday finds its place, and where belonging is made tangible.
